Our mission work in Haiti has had a profound and far-reaching impact. Since 1985, Loaves and Fishes Ministry has been dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid around the world, yet our journey began in Haiti, and we remain steadfastly committed to the vision that first inspired us. When we arrived, we had the honor of meeting Pastor Roger Charles, who was diligently leading his multifaceted ministry from humble beginnings in tents and makeshift structures crafted from whatever materials were available. Over the past 40 years, despite being a relatively small and lesser-known ministry, Loaves and Fishes has consistently provided the essential resources needed to sustain and expand a ministry that has exceeded our wildest expectations. Now, however, we are in need of your help.

Haiti faces numerous challenges that have deeply impacted its people and progress. Political instability, weak governance, and rising gang violence have created a climate of insecurity, while economic struggles, including extreme poverty, high unemployment, and inflation, make daily survival difficult. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and flooding, combined with deforestation and poor infrastructure, have further weakened the country. Many communities lack access to clean water, sanitation, and adequate healthcare, leading to widespread malnutrition and disease outbreaks. Education remains a challenge, with low literacy rates and limited resources for schools. Additionally, issues such as human trafficking, displacement, and the emigration of skilled professionals continue to hinder Haiti’s development. Despite these hardships, organizations like Loaves and Fishes Ministry remain committed to providing vital support and creating hope for a better future.
For the past 40 years, Loaves and Fishes Ministry has stood alongside Pastor Charles and his ministry, overcoming numerous political and economic challenges. Through steadfast support, we helped him acquire a small piece of land and contributed to the construction of a church, providing a vital space to serve the thousands in need. Beyond a place of worship, the church has also become a safe haven for those facing violence and homelessness, offering refuge and hope to the most vulnerable.

Unfortunately, due to gangs taking over the home and stealing all the equipment, the children were forced to return to their families. However, Pastor Roger Charles, with support from Loaves and Fishes, has continued to provide these families with essential food and water to meet their needs.

All the different ministries work together as part of this multifaceted mission effort. Due to the extreme poverty and widespread hunger in these areas, food, water, and clothing are essential components at each of the locations served.

Along with education, these centers are essential in supporting all the other ministries, including feeding initiatives. We are also working to sponsor teachers and children in Pétion-Ville to help support their education and meet their nutritional needs. Since education is not free, everything must be privately funded to sustain these efforts.

Jeremie, Belle Maison, Lagombrie, and La Futa are hard-to-reach, remote areas, including jungle communities, where our ministry has been able to provide much-needed support.

One of our most cherished missionary endeavors is providing families and children with gifts during special times of the year, bringing joy and cheer to their lives that are often filled with hardship—hardships few can truly understand.
